New Beginnings

A Postnatal Group Where You Truly Belong

At The Beechhouse in Beaconsfield, 10-12, fortnightly on Tuesday’s

The early weeks and months of motherhood can feel isolating, overwhelming, and nothing like the Instagram version. You're exhausted, your body is recovering, you have a hundred questions and not enough answers and somewhere underneath all of it, you're trying to figure out who you are now.

New Beginnings was created for exactly this moment. A warm, welcoming, fortnightly postnatal group for new mums and their babies in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, where you'll find expert guidance, genuine community, and a completely judgement-free space to ask every question you've been afraid to ask.

Not just another baby group

New Beginnings brings together three local experts who between them cover everything a new mum actually needs:

Louise Slope — BANT-registered nutritional therapist specialising in postnatal recovery, breastfeeding nutrition, and introducing solids. Louise answers your questions on postnatal nutrition, weaning, gut health, and feeding challenges.

Sophia — postnatal doula and midwife with years of experience supporting new families through birth and the early months of motherhood. Sophia covers feeding, reflux, colic, sleep, and the emotional transition into parenthood.

Camilla Ross — Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist from Feeling Positive, supporting new mums with postnatal anxiety, sleep deprivation, self-care, and the emotional demands of caring for a new baby.

Together we cover the questions your midwife didn't have time to answer, the worries you've been Googling at 3am, and the things you thought you were the only one struggling with. You're not.

What we cover at New Beginnings

Every session includes open Q&A time with Louise, Sophia, and Camilla, so you can ask anything about feeding, reflux, colic, postnatal nutrition, self-care, sleep, and starting solids.

We also welcome a different expert guest speaker to each session, covering topics that matter most to new mums.

Recent guests have included:

Baby Massage Taster Class with Steph from Nest & Nurture — benefits for baby and for you

Baby First Aid with Sammy, home safety and baby first aid — choking management and emergency techniques

Mindfulness with Kelly, Room 478 — managing the mental load of early motherhood

EFT & Qigong by Jane Green — EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is great for settling your baby, managing sleep deprivation, and postpartum emotions

Gut health in postnatal recovery — how nutrition supports your healing and energy

Starting solids — when to begin, what to offer, and how to make weaning stress-free

If we can't answer a question ourselves, we know exactly who can — and we'll find the right person for you.
